Reading Meme – Day Twenty-seven

Day Twenty-seven – Favorite non-mainstream writer

I’m not wholly sure what we mean with “non-mainstream” so I’ll go with “favorite writers that I don’t think many people know about.” Which isn’t much better. Ack.

Alrighty. A short list: Issui OgawaNicola Morgan.

As it turns out my favorite favorite authors are all well-known, well published, so on and so forth. But as far as lesser-known authors (to my knowledge), these two are well worth discovering and reading.

I’d say Susan Richards or Leigh Brill…

yikes, I have no idea if any of these people are mainstream or not? But people ask me who my fave authors are, and they have never heard of any of these people.

    Steven Brust
    Tim Powers
and the newly published and totally awesome Lauren Beukes
