New spec fic pubs added to the sidebar

This is a heads up to let you know that I’ve added a few publications to the side bar, since I didn’t know about them in time for last month’s post on speculative fiction magazines.

Some of the new additions:
Enchanted Conversation
Enchanted Conversation is for lovers of fairy tales all over the world. We hope to entertain and enlighten our readers, and give opportunities to writers an poets to have their work published. (As a fan of fairy tales, it made me especially happy to stumble over this recently)

Usok is a quarterly web-based magazine of Speculative Fiction by Filipino authors, whether based in the Philippines or abroad.

Basement Stories
Basement Stories are stories that you don’t want to believe but know to be true, stories you whisper to your kid sister at two in the morning in the dank dark moldy basement of your parent’s house, stories that you wish were true but know aren’t. Basement Stories are the stories you wake up dreaming, the really great ones that fade within a couple of seconds.

Daily Science Fiction
“Science Fiction” means—to us—everything found in the science fiction section of a bookstore, or at a science fiction convention, or amongst the winners of the Hugo awards given by the World Science Fiction Society. This includes the genres of science fiction (or sci-fi), fantasy, slipstream, alternative history, and even stories with lighter speculative elements. We hope you enjoy the broad range that SF has to offer.

About Jessica

Dork extraordinaire, that's me! An unhealthy knowledge of Star Trek, a love of books, a fondness for purring cats.
