Women writing science fiction

I’m poking my head it for a quick moment to point you to two lists that I’ve found interesting and a sure-fire way to make my ever-expanding “to-read” list even longer.

One, over on Worlds Without End, is Award Winning Books by Women Authors, created I believe by David Post. Another is a list I found through Worlds Without End, a (admittedly somewhat arbitrary, yet researched) list of the SF Mistressworks (meant to parallel the SF Masterworks series, which is dominated by male authors).  Created by author & blogger Ian Sales, it’s a long list that makes me realize how shallow my science fiction reading has really been. I find both lists to be great resources as I work on broadening my reading horizons and experiences.

Thanks to both sites for providing great reading lists!

About Jessica

Dork extraordinaire, that's me! An unhealthy knowledge of Star Trek, a love of books, a fondness for purring cats.
